The second Old Elizabeth Carver also worked primarily in the 1720's and 1730's, possibly based in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In the book New Jersey Cemeteries and Tombstones: History in the Landscape, Appendix B provides a list of anonymous New Jersey stone carvers of the 18th century. The Old Elizabeth Carver II is described as follows: "This carver also may have worked in Elizabeth. He sculpted masklike mortality images on sandstone. He is represented in Elizabeth's colonial burial grounds." The Farber Collection does not distinguish the two Old Elizabeth Carvers the same way that New Jersey Cemeteries and Tombstones: History in the Landscape does.
